YouTube on Tuesday announced that it will bring ads to YouTube Shorts, while creators would be paid 45 percent of ad revenue from the short video service. The move comes as Google faces intense competition from rival TikTok, which offers a $1 billion (roughly Rs. 8,000 crore) to pay creators and has grown to over 1 billion users.
