Skyroot Aerospace, the Hyderabad-based space startup said on Friday that it raised $51 millon (roughly Rs. 400 crore) in funding from GIC, a Singapore-based capital investment firm. The startup is looking to use the funding to build the country's first private space launch vehicles and launch heavy payloads into low-Earth orbit by mid-2023.
