NASA is planning to launch two helicopters to collect 30 Martian rock samples and bring them back to Earth. The lander carrying helicopters is planned to launch in 2028 and land on Mars in mid-2030. Meanwhile, the Perseverance rover has so far collected 11 samples as part of its hunt for signatures of ancient life.
