Sony is reportedly working on a new top-end sensor in the IMX9 series. As per the latest leak, this sensor will be named IMX989. The resolution of the sensor could be 50-megapixels and it will have a size close to 1-inch. Xiaomi is expected to pack the upcoming Sony IMX989 sensor in its Xiaomi 12 Ultra smartphone.
