Smartphone shipments in India grew 11 percent on a year-over-year basis in the first quarter of 2021, as per a report by Canalys. The market research firm said that smartphone vendors shipped a total of 37.1 million smartphones in the country. The growth has been attributed to COVID-19 crisis that pushed the use of smartphones for remote education and work from home.
